Annual General Meeting
UPDATED: 11 September 2020
The Annual General Meeting of the West of Scotland branch and the meeting following it in March 2020 were postponed due to Covid-19. We will inform members of the new date as soon as possible. We hope that this will be a face-to-face session and provisionally this will take place in March 2021 .
We will closely monitor the situation between now and early 2021 and keep you informed. On behalf of the West of Scotland branch we would like to wish all of our members, their families and friends good health. Stay safe and please look after the vulnerable in our community.
Proposed New Branch Rules
At the AGM we will discuss and adopt a set of new Branch Rules to replace those which have been in operation since 1982.
The west of Scotland branch of the British Dental Association is a voice for dental practitioners and members of the dental team in Glasgow and the south and west of Scotland. Our members are drawn from across the profession and work in general dental practice and hospital settings. Our council’s role is to look after the interests of our members and help provide guidance and support for anyone in need of day-to-day advice. The BDA is a not-for-profit trade union which is run by dentists for dentists.
Our season of meetings is designed to provide members and guests with high quality CPD on a range of relevant dental subjects. The 2020-21 session features speakers who will focus on the GDC’s fitness to practise, Dental Politics during the pandemic and finally Endodontics including oral medicine, radiology and endodontics. Attendance at meetings is free for BDA members. Non-members can book for a nominal fee which will be donated to the BDA Benevolent Fund. Take a look at this year’s line-up and book your place on our meetings page.
We would like to say a special thank you to our event sponsors who have provided a range of invaluable support for meetings this season and to help us celebrate 100 years of the branch.
